Give A Voice to the Voiceless! Help the refugee and immigrant youth led high school group, International Rescue PeaceMakers with their dreams! Do you remember what your dreams were when you were growing up? Did you want to be a singer, a firefighter, or a gourmet chef? Did you wish for world peace or did you want to end world hunger? We, the Wishful Thinkers want to guide the International Rescue Committee Peace Makers, a youth led group of refugee high school seniors living in the City Heights area of San Diego, on a journey that will help them fulfill their hopes, dreams, and aspirations. We want to give them an opportunity to tell the world their story of their journey to America, and how their lives have completely changed. City Heights is a neighborhood not too far from San Diego State University and is one of the most ethnically and culturally diverse neighborhoods in the entire nation. There is a huge refugee population in San Diego, and many of these the refugee kids in this neighborhood are unheard, and overlooked. This is our chance to give the IRC Peace Makers the tools and necessities they need to make their dream a reality. The Wishful Thinkers want to give a voice to the voiceless, and put the spot light on those that deserve to be heard. Only YOU can help them to shine, and give them the opportunities they so much deserve.
